It Was Raining

The moment you step out side, and feel the rush of your new found freedom from the dungy dark theatre, there is an inexplicable rush of cool air and similar darkness outside.

But this darkness is the most comforting and welcoming darkness you've ever felt. You don't feel enclosed inside or wanting to run from the dark blanket surrounding you. You want to become engulfed completely in it.

You don't cover yourself from the dropping water. You don't rush down pavement towards your dungy car. You experience the rain fully.

It's not heavy. It doesn't weigh down your shoulder. It lifts you up and opens your eyes. The few lights that are around you, high above the parking lot, reflect on the glistening pavement below your feet.

The rain is warm and doesn't make you shiver. You feel warm and comforted like you are curled up in your bed on a wintery night.

You want to hold onto this moment forever. Wanting to walk the longest way home so you can continue the dream.

After seeing so much of a different world, through a screen. You never want to forget the moment, you didn't leave the rain.

~Wasn't sure what I was going to do for a post today, but really wanted to write something. I wrote in a "somewhat not really" poem form about what I experienced while leaving a movie theatre a couple of weeks ago.
~Currently loving Hold Back The River by James Bay (the link is to the music video which I haven't actually watched*) An AMAZING song and LOVE James Bay!!!
~Currently reading TheBeautyDepartment.com and the ever so gorgeous Essie Button.
~I am thinking of doing a Q & A, so if anyone wants to ask me a question, write it down in the comments and I'll read it!
